Are you in the market for a new boat? I'm thinking Princecraft....

I've owned a Princecraft boat for over 20 years, and have had a lifetime of memories in that boat. It is only a 14ft and I bought it used in British Columbia. I've been in the Pacific Ocean with it and fished so many lakes in both BC and Ontario I can't even remember all their names. What I love about Princecraft boats is the quality of the boats, their quick ability to get up on plane and their retention of value. Its come time to possibly upgrade to a larger boat with a few more features and a better level of comfort, as well as being able to take more people and fish and explore this wonderful Provinces waterways. I'm looking at possibly the Amarok pictured below but haven't committed to this boat. I'm thinking a new Princecraft is coming to a lake near me....lol

MNR's new Fishing Online Search Tool

One of the latest and greatest MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources) online tools for those avid fisherman in Ontario who are looking for stocking, and want to know what fish species can be found in what lakes, and some lakes have contours, as well as aerial photography. Then check out this link http://www.web2.mnr.gov.on.ca/fish_online/fishing/fishingExplorer_en.html I think this is one great tool for any fisherman. Try searching for stocked lakes within an area of where you currently are..........try out some of the features. the closer you zoom in on an area the more information comes up...........awesome..!!!!

Well thousands of Ontario's avid bass Fisherman will be hitting their favorite lakes to try their luck at landing some fish. I know I can't wait to do some top water fishin........

The Anglers Atlas has some good maps, info and photos. Sign up for an account and do a search for the lake you are going to be heading to, they may have it they may not, I found the one I'm fishing this week. All free and the detail and information they provide isn't that bad. Check it out http://www.anglersatlas.com

Turkeys .......

Well I've noticed that the local Turkey population is doing quite well. I've noticed numerous birds, out in the fields and roosting in trees along some of the back roads. I don't think the population is hurting in the least bit. It should be a really good year for local hunters in and around Peterborough and the City of Kawartha Lakes.
