Maps of Lakes
The Anglers Atlas has some good maps, info and photos. Sign up for an account and do a search for the lake you are going to be heading to, they may have it they may not, I found the one I'm fishing this week. All free and the detail and information they provide isn't that bad. Check it out http://www.anglersatlas.com

Jig-A-Loo

It’s a dry silicone-based lubricant that, unlike any other lubricant, contains no oil, grease, wax, petroleum distillates or detergent, so it doesn't stain or stink. It stops squeaks, un-sticks just about anything, protects against rust, and is an exceptional water repellent.
JIG-A-LOO is ideal for wood, metal, glass, rubber, leather, fabrics, most plastics and a number of other surfaces, helping just about anything operate and slide better. With thousands of uses around the house, garden, workshop, boat, campground and more, it's The Can of All Trades™.

Elderly Lady killed by black bear in Quebec.
Once again a black bear has shown that they are not to be trusted. Having worked with both grizzlies and blacks; I have had numerous encounters with both blacks and grizzlies. Neither are harmless, always be aware of your surroundings and be aware of inquisitive bears. Our feelings go out to the families of this woman who enjoyed our great outdoors. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/cbc/080602/canada/montreal_qc_beardeathlavoie0602
